Jumping back into the norm...as a new Salty Dawg!

Well, I guess I'll have to work my way backwards to catch up on my blog journal from the past month we've been away from home. We didn't waste any time jumping back into the 'norm' of our lives down here on the coast. 3 hours after we walked in our house from being gone almost an entire month, we were shaking hands with the new MSU football coach, Coach Mullen, former OC of the National Champion Florida Gators. Too bad though, he didn't bring Tebow with him (bummer). This picture of course will go down as a CLASSIC! :) Coach Mullen was actually holding Walker for the quick snapshot and Forrest told Coach Mullen, "Don't worry it's not just you, Santa got the same response!" (ha) It was a fun time had by all, it was pretty crowded so Walker was a little antsy since we had to hold him the entire time. We did get some camera time I guess with Forrest being a local HC. Forrest & Walker made the local, evening news and Friday's daily newspaper photo gallery. Goodness, this kid is going to have some scrapbook memories and good stories to tell when he gets older isn't he? Coach Mullen is such a personable guy and really seems like a genuine person. Don't you just love Walker's expression in the newspaper picture below? So here are the links to the evening news video...click on Jeff's Thursdays Sports
be sure to click on the photo gallery, that's where the top picture is located with a little description. Oh, and I thought it was cute that the MS Coast Alumni Chapter is called 'the Salty Dawgs' for our location near the ocean. Welcome to a new era of MSU Football...let's hope it returns us to the 'glory days' of bowl games and a trip to the SEC Championship as when we were students...GO STATE!

  2. His personality & his "game face" show that he is growing up. What a joy to grow with him during this time...thanks for sharing the pictures and your thoughts.
